I adore this post! Thanks for introducing me to Violet Folklore--what a lovely shop. And the trip through Picasso's pierrots was wonderful--so familiar and (for me) nostalgic, and I love seeing those paintings again in this context.

you make me want to hop in my rusty time machine and travel to a world of silent painted androgynous french mines! and you also make me want to shop. your dress from Ana!s is divine. oh, i am weak lately, weak for pretty things, so i don't even dare click on the link. thanks for a post that combines art history and clothing art-- you are a Super Genius.

Enjoyed your post. Love Picasso and of course - Pierrots and Harlequins are high on my list as visually stimulating and fun performers! Lovely clothing. Especially love the gown - Agree - very Jackie O!

Anne,

You're such a special girl, I feel like writing a whole post about you some day.

Sasha,

Next time I'm in your neck of the woods, it's all yours to wear. You look good in minis, come to think of it. It'll be something special on you.

Denise,
Thank you for reading and commenting. I'm happy you enjoy this post and the dresses.
